Annie Sloan Chalk Paint™ will adhere to most surfaces indoors and out. There's no need for lots of preparation, you rarely need to sand or prime, but Annie recommends you do a patch test first use Annie Sloan Sanding pads
-
If the surface is super glossy or shiny, you may want to give it a light scuff sand to break the surface

Applying multiple thin coats will also help with adhesion

Ensure you have cleaned the surface really well
-
Always stir Annie Sloan Chalk Paint™ thoroughly before using
-
If you see bleed through appear in your light colours apply a coat of Annie Sloan Lacquer to seal
