My Painting Journey started when I was a child helping my mum decorate the family home, she bought me my own chest of drawers, I still have them over 45 years later.
I've always done my own and other peoples decorating but went down a different career path. Meeting my husband and settling down in Doncaster South Yorkshire, where I now live with my youngest daughter and my fur baby.
Having renovated several houses and inheriting lots of furniture the buzz was back! Trawling antique shops for unique solid pieces of furniture Unique Home Pieces was born.
Lee my Husband, my right hand man, sander, cleaner, delivery man and number one fan. Building me a workshop in the garden and supporting my business.
Having attended many courses and workshops to build my skill set and to keep up with the latest trends in furniture and home interiors, some of the many finishes I can create include french polishing and aged patinas.
I love all styles of furniture painting and don't have a particular style but rather work with the furniture paint and let my imagination take over. But a personal favourite of mine is the patina look, layering paints and finishes to create an old world look.
