Apply with Annie Sloan Gold Size.
Imitation Leaf are recommended for interior use only.

Available in books of 25 sheets, enough to cover around 0.49 metres squared (5.27 feet squared). Each sheet is 5.5 inches x 5.5 inches (140mm x 140mm).
How to apply Annie Sloan Loose Leaf
Ensure the surface you’re going to gild is clean and dust- free, then apply a thin layer of Annie Sloan Gold Size. When the Gold Size becomes clear, it is ready for the leaf to be applied. once the Gold Size has gone clear and sticky it is ready to use about 15 minutes. If used over the top of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint® a second coat maybe required.
Wash your brush in water immediately!
Gently lay Loose or Transfer Leaf onto the Gold Size. Using a dry soft brush, smooth and remove any excess Loose Leaf.

Use the leaf with hands lightly dusted with talcum powder and stick the leaf on to a surface coated with Annie Sloan Gold Size.

Imitation Gold leaf is sometimes referred to as ‘Dutch Gold’ and is made of brass. This metal will tarnish over time so apply a layer of Clear Chalk Paint™ Wax over your gilded surface to protect it.

Imitation Silver leaf is made of aluminium. To make it look like vintage silver, apply a light coat of Clear and Dark Chalk Paint™ Wax.

Copper leaf is made from copper which tarnishes, so apply a layer of Clear Chalk Paint™ Wax over your gilded surface to protect it.
