Annie Sloan Gold Size is a water-based glue and has the advantage of staying sticky when dry, so it’s perfect for applying either bronzing powders any faux or Annie Sloan metal leaf quickly and easily.

How to use Gold Size

• Apply a thin layer over a surface intended for gilding. The Gold Size will at first look white, then purple as it dries (this can take up to 15 minutes), and finally transparent.

• Once the Size is transparent, it is ready for metal leaf to be applied.

• Lay the leaf carefully onto the sized area, gently smoothing and removing excess leaf with a soft dry cloth or super fine and soft brush such as a blusher makeup brush.

• Wash brushes in water immediately after use.
