Beautility Navy/Oxford Blue and Gold Walnut Cocktail Cabinet/Bar/Drinks Cabinet
Let me introduce you to this fabulous cocktail cabinet made by the Beautility furniture makers in the 1950,s.
The cabinet comprises of a central drop down door when opened a top door pulls back to reveal a mirror back, glass bottomed drinks preparation area with a glass shelf.
Underneath are two generous sized drawers for all your accessories.
Sitting either side of the drawers are two large cupboards with removable shelves and curved doors. Above these are two smaller size display cabinets which also has mirror backs, curved doors with Perspex windows.
This cabinet was cleaned and after sanding off all of the original varnish just look at what was hiding underneath, the grain detailing is just beautiful, so I decided just to showcase the walnut wood grain with splashes of colour.
Using Annie Sloan Oxford Navy Chalk Paint and Posh Chalk Pigments in Gold the design was created and everything was sealed with Osmo Oil in a Satin finish.
The drinks section was all painted in Oxford Navy and the original glass base and mirror back was cleaned. The original light fitting has been rewired.
A internal cupboards was in such great condition the have been cleaned and the removable shelving in the bottom cupboards have been sanded and revarnished. original hard was cleaned and sprayed gold to match. All the internal wood has been cleaned and treated with oil to feed and seal the wood.
