I have had this cabinet in my furniture stash for a while now just waiting for some inspiration.
Corner cabinets you either love them or hate them, but really they are fabulous for storing your treasures in or hiding your stuff away and locking the doors.
They are great for taking the squareness off rooms and making the corners look more homely.
You can remove the doors and just have open shelving you can remove the glass panels and paper the backs. All in all they are a very versatile piece of furniture.
This one I kept as it is in such beautiful condition.
The bottom cupboard has a removable shelf, ideal incase you want to use it as a place to store your favourite tipples in for your taller bottles.
The display case at the top still has its original glass back panels and two removable glass shelves again in excellent condition.
The old lighting has been removed and a new battery operated light has been installed in the top of the cabinet.
I did my usual prep before painting her in Bunty’s mineral paint Totally Eclipse (if you want to see the full range check out another listing as I am a stockist of this brand).
I then applied a decor transfer called Dark Floral, I used decor moulds called Aviary and insectica all by Redesign with Prima.
The birds and dragonflies were all painted black then used metallic waxes for the finished look. White and Silver paint were flicked on and finally Swarovski Crystals were placed in the centre’s of some flowers to really make them stand out.
The photos do not do justice to this piece as you walk by it and the lights catch the crystals they look beautiful.
